Have I mentioned how much I abhor exam week? Especially because for some reason, beyond what I can even begin to comprehend, our school has decided to cancel half day exams. So that means that we have to come in, take two exams, and then stay for the rest of the day; which is ridiculous. I’ve been studying nonstop for the past three days, so you would think that they would at least allow us, or just me, go home half way through the day without resulting in a detention so we can rest and study for our next exams instead of making us go to two other classes. I’ve gotten both of my easy exams out of the way which, I passed with flying colors, but that means that I still have my challenging exams left, such as Algebra II Honors and Chemistry. Oh! Side note! I went out to dinner with two of my friends the other day, and when we got their we had a waitress that I had become friendly with over the summer, named Jenna. I guess I should inform you before I go further on in this story that during the fall I was in the musical production of The Sound of Music, and in it we, obviously, had scripts. After the first production night it is tradition that we go out to dinner and the second we go have a party at someone’s house. So while at dinner I had forgotten my script at the restaurant. I then called the restaurant, and went in five times to see if they had it and every waiter or waitress came back with a negative result. So when I went out to dinner with my friends I decided to ask Jenna to make sure that my script wasn’t in the lost and found, because if it wasn’t I was going to have to pay for it. So she walks to the back room and comes out, script in hand. So this had me thinking; did the other people even look in the back? Or did they not even bother? I think that is just ridiculous that they could ignore what I asked them and not even bother to take a look. So where was I before I went off on that little tangent? Ah, exams. The reason that I don’t mind exams is because during the second half of the day we don’t really do anything besides just review for the test, which can be really helpful depending on who the teacher is. Granted, everyday I’ve still gone over a friends house so they can explain it to me. I don’t know if it’s the teachers at my school, or if it’s me, but when ever a teacher explains something it sounds so hard and complicated. When I go over a friends house and they explain it to me, everything makes sense. The same kind of thing happens with test and homework. I completely understand the homework when I’m doing it, but when it’s the same question in a test my mind just stops working. I wish my brain was like a filing cabinet. Like I could just file the important information that I need, instead of the random facts that I know. I mean, I suppose knowing the french national anthem, the inventor of the keytar, and the birthdays Obama, Biden, Pailin, and McCain can come handy sometimes. I would rather know how to factor trinomials than know that the month of January was named after the god Janus, and that turtles can breathe through their butts. So I think that’s all that I have to talk about. One more thing, if you can think of any titles for my blog, rather than “Don’t Look Up.” please leave them in the comments. (Click the button that says something about comments at the top of this post).
Sorry this one was kind of long. Alright, bye!
Ps. Maybe in every blog I should put some fun fact or something that I know! That might be a good idea.
